How we earn money.

Running a site like this costs money. Part of it is covered by commissions; none of it is covered by changing a score.

In one paragraph

Some providers pay us when a reader who followed one of our links later becomes a customer. The price you pay is the same either way. Scores, ranks and the words in our reviews are set by the editorial team using the published formulas, before and regardless of any commercial arrangement.

Addresses on this site that begin with /go/ pass through our own redirect and may earn a commission; they open in a new tab. The “Visit” buttons on other providers’ review pages go straight to the vendor and carry nofollow.

Off the table, always

  • Buying a place in a ranking or a better score.
  • Commissioning a review, a guide or a mention.
  • Reading a review before it goes live, or editing one after.

The formulas are on the methodology page; our wider rules are in the editorial standards.
